How my day was rescued
Ok.. Let me set the table.
I have a boring job. Often it consists of me pouring over plans or working on ACAD all day without talking to anyone. Let me repeat, I have a boring job. Im thankful for it, but it really really boring. So I came in this morning and turned on the radio. Thankfully I can get AM stations. Usually, I listen to the Sports guys in the morning. But today it was all about Raffy Palmerio and his roids. I had about enough of that crap and turned it off and listened to a cd for most of the morning.. UNTIL a ray of light shone down from above. .My buddy comes in and tells me that Randy and Jason Sklar were guest hosting for Jim Rome today..
Let me tell you how frickin funny this is. Randy and Jason usually host a show on ESPN classic called Cheap Seats. Sort of like a MST3000 for sports. They take old and usually little known sports events (ie. Arm wrestling from 1983) and just make fun of it. It is so funny my wife even laughs. .and unless its the Astros, my wife usually never watches sports.
So, what did we learn.
1. My job boring
2. Watch Cheap Seats
3. Randy and Jason Sklar are hilarious (check em out http://www.cheapseats.tv/ )
4. My wife likes the Astros - especially Craig Biggio
5. I can at least count to five
